Close call with Arizona Freaks
So... I finish a client's computers 8 pm and drive on down to Sedona. Hit 'my spot' in the west end back in the undeveloped area at a trail head, have the top down, watch the stars and comets, blissing out, thanking the Divine. Cruise back up Oak Creek Canyon, top still down, canyon walls reflecting light, beautiful starry canopy above. Climb up my stairs and wow, there's a big pile of stuff at my door???
Open the door, get some light, here it's most of the stuff I had given my friend Sarah and her daughter Faith. Sarah and her husband are in the: flag waving; demons are everywhere; fringe of Christianity. They say Jesus justifies everything they do, they are fanatical.
Now Sarah told me when we were first becoming friends that her husband doesn't allow her to have friends, that he and his mom are constantly 'putting her in her place', and that he was sabotaging trying to move forwarded with their business. She quoted him as saying he was all right living in a garbage can as long as it would be with him. To which she responded she had higher aspirations than a garbage can. She said he's boring, self occupied asking over and over if he looks good, etc., and that he's jealous of the time she spends with her daughter. Plus when she needs sleep he keeps her awake until late in the night going over and over his same crap.
Back in late May Sarah starts getting distant, then in June she texted me that we needed to end all contact as we were under the influence of different 'spirits'. Meanwhile she's hanging onto $100 of my books which I emailed in July to please return them if she was finished with them and just emailed again this week, same thing, 'If you are finished with the book, could you please return them.'
Well, I guess that primed the freak pump 'cause while I was out her husband Dan comes over and drops off a garbage bags with the books and the Eckhart Tolle CD's, and everything I gave Faith, (Spiderman stuff and Playschool stuff.... hey! where's the bongo drum, hehe), plus this hand written letter saying something to the effect that they are followers of Jesus and that by having items I gave them in the house it opened their space to 'spirits' blah blah, only Jesus saves, something something, make no contact with us.
Ok, here's the thing. When people are crazy, freaky, twitchy, most people do not want any contact with them. It's like he wrote, we are violent, scary, freaks, have nothing to do with us! Ah, yeah, sure, ok then.
Here's the thing, Sarah pulled me in telling me she was in an emotionally abusive relationship. She also told me her husband was seeing visions and plagued by spirits, etc. So I tried helping her, told her she needed to see a professional therapist or marriage counselor, to get herself into a support group, only to find out she was more attached to keeping things as they are rather than helping herself, and she turned her husband after me. Yikes.
Now on the way cool side for me....
I hooked up with Sarah for personal training, got a training program designed for me, food program designed for me, and they all worked. Now I did a bunch of free stuff for her whenever she asked. Helped her out with her business stuff, set up her computer, created her personal website, ran the speaker wire for her new gym, created the music mix for her posing bunches of stuff. Was trying to figure out how to say, "ah I'm busy with my stuff, but I'd be glad to help you when I can, just not now". Gave her info on unconditional happiness, here's a text message from her in April, "Ur inner self is one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen." Then she blows up, I'm out of there having done what I can, and no need to ever speak with them again.
I also think the reason I felt so driven to drive down to Sedona was to keep me from having a confrontation with Dan, seeing that he and Sarah are both violent and both body builders... I know... I know... how do I pick 'em. ;) Sarah's brother got dumped by his girlfriend and Sarah was all revved to go fight her. I and Dan talked her out of it. I mean really..... she doesn't want to date your brother so you are going to beat her up???? What's that about?
I'm still pretty new here, I'll explain that later, but here's the thing.. I tend to believe people. Sarah told me her dreams, the part about helping people, well, I thought that was beautiful and should be supported. I over looked the stuff about her becoming famous and known as the key person in physical fitness. She was saying 'light being' things and I thought I was obligated to help her if she was a light being. Now since they ended everything I have no feelings of obligation. The phrase I heard divine guidance giving me when I got the first 'no contact' text was 'let go'. So, now I don't know if she is a light being, just not living her role, or if she is something else. I'm thinking her business plan, which is still on my desktop, isn't going to happen. How could it when as a couple they are so dark?
